Jorge Gómez Paredes
Regional DirectorEnvironmental Engineer with an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Energy Sciences from the Department of Socio-Environmental Sciences of Kyoto University, Japan. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Project Management from the University of Valencia, Spain. He is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Earth and Ocean Sciences, “Nicholas School of the Environment”, Duke University, USA, and professor at the School of Earth Sciences, Energy, and Environment of the Yachay Tech University, Ecuador.

Giovanni Bruna
Focal Point in New YorkMaster in Global Government with a concentration in Globalization and Human Security at Florida International University. He is a member of the New York chapter of Young Professionals and a youth ambassador for Project Aladdin, having graduated from the International Summer University for Intercultural Leadership. He worked as Administrator of the Guinness World Records Latin America and Caribbean team and also in a startup called Chisel that generates and promotes political proposals agreed upon with the public. She completed the online course in Management and Cultural Communication at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) on the Argentina campus.

Scarlett Medranda
Communications CoordinatorGraduate in strategic communication and Master in psychopedagogy with a mention in neurosciences at the International University of Ecuador. With work experiences in Ecuador and the United Kingdom; considers that creativity and cooperation are the best tools for the development of the Sustainable Development Goals and the objectives established in the Paris Agreement.

Nicolás Serrano Palacio
ICT coordinatorInformation Technology student at Yachay Tech. Previously, he held the position of Regional Coordinator of SDSN Youth for the Andes, where he planned and supported various initiatives focused on the SDGs. He is currently the founder and CEO of Innomaps, a company that provides business intelligence through technology to small and medium-sized companies. He firmly believes that technological progress and sustainable development can go hand in hand to create a more just, conscious and responsible society.

Camila Totoy
Communications and Social Media AssistantStudent of the National Polytechnic School of the Environmental Engineering career. He is currently performing functions as a student representative of his career within the communications area. It is also involved in projects that seek to meet the Sustainable Development Goals within the Solid Waste Management area.

Camila Aguirre
Regional Statistics CoordinatorEconomist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and from the University of Grenoble-Alpes in France. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in economics and works at the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses where he has participated and coordinated activities related to the transfer of information and data with regional and global organizations within the United Nations Statistical Division (UNSD).

Daniela Estela
Communications AdvisorJournalist, Graduated in Social Communication, with an MSc. in Strategic and Digital Communication and a Diploma in Digital Communications and Publications. She worked as Coordinator of Links with the Environment at the Center for Research in Social Complexity of the Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile). Since 2014, she has been working as a consultant for the United Nations in translation and text editing. She served as Head of Communications of the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile. Previously, he worked in the Knowledge Management Section at OREALC/UNESCO Santiago, in the Communications area.

Coordinator of ArgentinaBiomedical Engineer from the National University of Córdoba. Co-founder and former Operational President of Atlas J.E. Junior Companies, in 2015. Speaker at the third Youth Symposium in the Vatican in 2016. Co-creator of the National Confederation of Junior Companies in Argentina in 2017.

Cecilia Buffa
Local Coordinator of Buenos AiresBiomedical Engineer, co-founder and former Institutional President of the Junior Atlas J.E. in Argentina 2015, co-creator of the National Confederation of Junior Companies in 2017. She was selected as one of the 300 green leaders at the Green Economy Summit organized in Córdoba Capital in 2017. She has organized introductory talks on the SDGs and the SDSN network at the UNC (National University of Córdoba).

Álex Godoy-Faúndez
Coordinator of ChileDirector of the Center for Research in Sustainability and Management of Strategic Resources (CiSGER) and Academic Director of the Master’s program in Sustainability Management at the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad del Desarrollo. In addition, he is Head of Research and Technology from Waste to Energy – Chile at the WTERT Council and Research Associate at the Center for Earth Engineering at Columbia University.

Álvaro Andrade
Coordinator of EcuadorEconomist with experience in Planning, Sustainable Development and territorial prospective. He has a Diploma in Governance and Sustainability of Extractive Industries from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and has participated as an expert in multi-scale planning at ECLAC. He has been a collaborator of Grupo FARO since 2014 and is in charge of the ODS Territorio Ecuador initiative in this organization. In 2018 he participated as a representative of civil society in the High Level Political Forum.
