The SDGs are the global goals adopted by all member states of the United Nations (including the countries in the Andean Region) in September 2015, as part of the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. To reach these goals by 2030, it is crucial to appropriately localize them to each country; namely, to adapt them to the reality of each country and identify corresponding meaningful actions to achieve them.
Therefore, the SDSN Andes is working on the Localization of the SDGs in the Andean Region through a series of events with its member and partner organizations, and with key regional actors.
We invite organizations from all sectors of society to be actively involved in this process. If you wish to participate, contact us at info@unsdsn-andes.org.
See the report of the event held in May 2017, here.
